I have added a bunch of stuff to base.google.com. Most of the content is from the yourhumanrights.com site that I maintain. If you don’t know, google base is an attempt by google to organise the worlds information. It relies on people submitting content using googles online forms. Check it out: base.google.com. You will need a gmail account to add your own stuff. To find some of the content that I submitted you can search on the word: yourhumanrights.com
At first I did not believe it. In 2002 a fire broke out in a school in Mecca (Saudi Arabia). 15 of the schools 800 students were not dressed appropriately. All 15 burned to death as a result of the Mutaweens (religious police) interference in the fire departments rescue. Apparently the girls were not wearing head scarves and abayas as a result the Mutaween declared it sinful for the girls to be approached by men trying to rescue them.

I don’t know why I am bothering but a few articles appearing in Sundays papers have really got my whiskers standing on end!
The first is by the lady whom appeared in the Holden Ute adds that Germaine has criticised recently. The model (Suzie Wilks), the person with the most to gain from the add, claims that Greer has “missed the point and lost her sense of humourâ€. The second series (and the least informed) set of comments came from Adam Zwar from the Herald Sun.
Both of these individuals resort to popular and uniformed points of view claiming the advertisements to simply be “cheeky” or in some way part of the average Australian males psyche.
It is particularly strange that Suzie Wilks takes such an issue with this given that she represents the portion of society that has the most to lose from adverts such as these. Zwar of course is simply a cheap version of Andrew Bolt.
More information on Germaines speach can be found on the News Corp, The Age, and Sydney Morning Herald sites. Articles on Suzi Wilks reply can be found on the News Corp and the NineMSN web sites.
The other day I was looking for some mobile phone simulators that run on the desktop. I found the Openwave (developer.openwave.com) simulator and the Nokia Mobile Browser (NMB forum.nokia.com) simulator. The later allows you to change profile information about the device, such as screen size, colour, http headers etc. Very useful tools!
If you get really keen Nokia also provide a WAP gateway simulator!
